D.I.T. British Style.

Nick Clegg, David Cameron, May 11 2010

Preferring an Individualist approach, Collectivism has always had a rather negative connotation in The US, conjuring up as it does for many, a fear of Socialist practices or even worse, the evils of Communism. But outside of the groups of health reform naysayers, tea-party conventions and the mind of Sarah Palin, the times they are a' changing.
Is it possible, as was pondered upon here recently, that we could become more of a D.I.T. (Doing It Together) culture? Today, The UK possibly took a step in that direction with the forming of a new coalition government between the Conservatives and the Liberal-Democrats. It's the first of its kind for over 60 years. So Tory David Cameron will become the new Prime Minister, and Nick Clegg, leader of the Lib-Dems, will be the Deputy PM. It's a little bit ironic that Labour, the traditional party of Socialism, gone from power for the first time in 13 years, will play no part in the Coalition Government.
